The amount of light that your pathway receives is a huge factor that needs consideration when choosing the right plants. When it comes to your personal decision, things like the amount of maintenance is important to think about. Most people don’t want to work year round to keep something looking nice or having to replant every Spring or Summer season. Because of this, Perennials are a great option. Some other factors to consider are listed below.
The type of pavement or stone used for you pathway
Make sure the plants have good soil drainage
Amount of foot traffic on that pathway
Short plants are always better (under 36in)
